Dr. Peter Ayad, a dedicated Consultant Ophthalmologist, has harbored a noble purpose from a young age—to make a lasting impact in the lives of individuals. This drive led him to pursue a career in medicine, where he quickly found his passion for the transformative power of healing, particularly in aiding those with severe visual impairments.

The immense joy and gratitude expressed by these patients became his ultimate reward and a beacon of enthusiasm for his profession.

He embarked on his medical journey with great enthusiasm, culminating in graduation from Cairo Medical University (Kasr EL Aini) in 2001. Here, he honed invaluable skills during his residency and later completed his master’s degree in 2008, followed by an ICO fellowship. Dr. Ayad’s uncle, the revered Prof. Dr. Fathy Fawzy, served as a mentor and imparted ethical values and extensive medical knowledge, shaping him into a compassionate and dedicated physician.

In 2010, driven by an unyielding desire to make a difference, he established his own surgical theater, initially in Upper Egypt, and then expanded to three more centers, including one in Burundi.

Over two decades and thousands of complex ophthalmic surgeries later, Dr. Ayad’s vision materialized with the registration of “PEC”—Premier Eye Clinic—on 12/9/2022. PEC stands as the first subspecialized eye clinic, a testament to Dr. Ayad’s relentless pursuit of providing superior care in ophthalmology. He attributes much of the success to his exceptional colleagues, whose collective commitment ensures exceptional care across various ophthalmic specialties, fulfilling the clinic’s mission to bring satisfaction and healing to every patient.
